Proposition N - Zero-Tax-Rate Bond Issue on April 4th Ballot
Proposition N, a zero-tax-rate-increase bond proposal, is on the April 4, 2017 ballot. If approved, Proposition N would provide $23 million to build a new school, new science/math labs at Jefferson and Washington Elementary schools, and improve the learning environments for students throughout the district. NHS Thespian Troupe to Present Dreamgirls April 7 & 8
The Normandy High School Thespian Troupe 837 presents the musical Dreamgirls: All You Have to Do is Dream, 7 p.m. April 7 & 8 at Viking Hall. The spring production of Dreamgirls is the story of three black female soul singers crossing over to the pop charts in the early 1960s. You don't want to miss this! Click here for more information.
Orchestra Earns Superior Rating at Music Festival
Congratulations to the Normandy 7th-8th Grade Center orchestra who recently earned a Superior/1 rating at the St. Louis Suburban Music Educators Association Large Group Festival. The orchestra was judged on the overall performance of the songs "Sword Dance" and "Crystal Moon," receiving a rating of 1/Superior (on a scale of 5 to 1, with 1 being the best). The orchestra is led by Normandy music teacher Mr. Charles Clements. #NormandyStrong
Save the Date: Summer School Enrollment Now Open
Enroll your child today for Normandy's Summer School program, JumpStart! This program, which runs from June 6 to July 11, is a FREE enrichment program designed to help students be prepared for the next school year with hands-on coursework in science, math, reading, and English Language Arts. Transportation and meals are provided. There are also incentives for students and parents to attend (Gift cards! Tablets! and More). Normandy Selected for Regional 'What's Right' Honor
The Normandy Schools Collaborative has been awarded the Focus St. Louis 2017 What’s Right with the Region Award. The Collaborative was recognized in the category, Fostering Regional Cooperation, for having “brought entities together to create a new synergy and improve efficiency and effectiveness.” For the complete story, click here.

Students at Jefferson Elementary were recently interviewed by Fox 2 News for a story on the impact the film Hidden Figures is having on students in Normandy. DESE recently released the state's Annual Performance Report with Normandy's score landing in the 'Provisionally Accredited' range! St. Louis Regional Business Council Awards $25K Grant to Normandy
The St. Louis RBC recently held a press conference to award the final round of grants to several small businesses and four school districts in North St. Louis County. The event received media coverage from local outlets and featured a performance by the Normandy High School quartet, Inner Harmony.
